ARTes
A transdisciplinary platform

The three institutes of artistic education of Belgium’s French-speaking Community in Brussels – the Conservatory, La Cambre and the INSAS – have come together within a joint platform that covers all areas of higher artistic education, thus music, drama and the performing arts, the plastic, visual and spatial arts, and film. The platform will also cover dance whose teaching at the higher level  is to be organized in the near future.

Under the name of ARTes, the associated institutes:
. offer joint training programmes in the arts
. develop educational synergies between the various artistic fields
. organise joint artistic and cultural activities: concerts, screenings, representations and performances, exhibitions, publications
. jointly arrange new spaces and acquires technical and technological equipment
. improve services for students, such as social services, mobility, student jobs, etc.
. help promote the three partner schools, providing information on their programmes, teachers, former students and artists

An acronym of the French Art enseignement supérieur (art higher education), ARTes is pronounced Artez.
